Atheseus Lockhart, a partner in our firm’s Orlando office, has been practicing law since 2003 as a trial attorney. His practice is devoted to handling Construction Defect Litigation as well as General Liability, Premises Liability, Bodily Injury and Wrongful Death related matters.
Atheseus enlisted in the United States Navy and was a personnel administrator for 13 years leaving active duty as Personnelmen First Class (E6). While in the Navy, Atheseus received numerous awards and accolades for his performance to include five (5) Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals. He was involved in Operation Just Cause in the Panama Canal, Operation Joint Endeavor in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Operation Continue Hope in Somalia.
Atheseus attended Columbia College while on active duty and upon the expiration of his final enlistment, he attended The Florida State University College of Law. During law school, Atheseus interned with the Office of the Attorney General and the Children’s Advocacy Center at the College of Law. Atheseus was also the leading law clerk at the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco for two years.
Upon graduation, Atheseus served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Osceola County as a felony prosecutor. After gaining valuable trial experience, Atheseus transitioned to civil litigation. Atheseus is a member of Conroy Simberg's Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
