Joy G. Zubkin provides aggressive trial counsel and defense in the area of medical malpractice, wrongful death litigation, health care litigation, nursing home litigation, home health litigation, personal injury litigation, and complex civil trial litigation.
She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Villanova University and Juris Doctorate from Barry University School of Law. She won the Best Advocate Award for Trial Team and helped the team win notoriety in the State of Florida and Southeast Region.
Before receiving her law degree, she worked as a Registered Nurse in an inner-city Philadelphia medical/surgical units, transplant unit, as well as critical care areas. She has provided nursing services within the home health care industry and became an upper level nursing administrator and eventually director of a home health agency in Pennsylvania.
In her legal profession, Ms. Zubkin represents hospitals, physicians, radiologists, emergency room practitioners, anesthesiologists, respiratory therapists, optamologists, dentists, nurses and nurse practitioners in complicated medical malpractice litigation dealing with not only adult injuries but also children and infants with injuries, with successful resolutions. She successfully represents health care professionals on licensure issues with the Florida Department of Health.
Ms. Zubkin is admitted to the practice in all state courts within the State of Florida and in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, as well as United States Supreme Court.
