Siobhan Helene Shea

Siobhan Helene Shea is a member of the firm’s Appellate Practice group. Shea joined Conroy Simberg after twenty-two years at an AV-Preeminent rated statewide appellate law firm Sheappeals PLLC, where she handled all types of appeals and extraordinary writs.

After earning a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, Shea worked in white collar defense appeals with Joseph Beeler and was Of Counsel in HRC v. Baker, a federal class action appeal against the U.S.  government challenging the unlawful interdiction on the high seas and return of Haitian refugees seeking political asylum following unlawful overthrow of the democratically elected government. Shea then started the Palm Beach law firm Shea & Tannenbaum, P.A., before serving for three years an appellate Public Defender for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit where she also developed and ran a community outreach program to speak to students and community organizations about the role of the Public Defender and constitutional law.

Shea is a Past Chair of the Appellate Practice Section of the Florida Bar and a Past Chair of the Appellate Court Rules Committee of the Florida Bar. She has served as Statewide President of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and the President of the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.
