Conroy Simberg Expands Georgia Presence with Two New Offices and Five New Attorneys

Conroy Simberg continues its Georgia expansion with the opening of new offices in Columbus and Dahlonega. Along with these new locations, we’ve added five attorneys to better serve clients throughout the entire state of Georgia.

Jeffrey A. Brown
A partner in the firm's Columbus and Dahlonega, Georgia offices with 33 years of experience, Jeff is a member of the firm’s General Liability practice defending a broad range of insurance defense cases ranging from automobile accidents, premises liability, negligent security, animal liability, bad faith/extra contractual litigation, and construction defect litigation.  Jeff is also a registered mediator and maintains an active mediation practice.  Jeff is licensed to practice in State and Federal Courts throughout Georgia and Alabama.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from North Georgia College (now University of North Georgia) and received his Juris Doctorate from the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University.  

Clayton M. Adams
A partner in the firm's Columbus, Georgia office with 25 years of legal experience, Clayton is a member of the firm’s General Liability practice defending a broad range of insurance defense cases ranging from automobile accidents, premises liability, negligent security, trucking litigation, construction defect litigation and federal civil litigation. Licensed to practice in both Georgia and Alabama, Clayton provides a strategic, regional advantage to clients navigating the complexities of the legal landscape across the Southeast. Clayton earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University and received his Juris Doctorate from University of Alabama School of Law. 

Kim M. Minix
Kim is a partner in Conroy Simberg’s Columbus, Georgia office with over 25 years of experience defending insurers and their insureds across a broad spectrum of insurance litigation matters. His practice spans general liability, automobile accidents, premises liability, construction disputes, and bad faith claims. A seasoned litigator, Kim brings extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts throughout Georgia. He is admitted to practice in all Georgia U.S. District Courts. Kim earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia and his Juris Doctor from the Mercer University School of Law.

Adam D. Brown
An attorney in the firm’s Dahlonega office with 13 years of legal experience, Adam provides liability defense for both individual and commercial interests, and also professional licensing defense in regulatory matters before state licensing boards and federal oversight agencies. Adam was a critical care registered nurse prior to attending law school. After graduating from Mercer University School of Law, cum laude, in 2013, Adam was eager to earn jury trial experience and earned a reputation for securing favorable jury verdicts in “unwinnable” criminal defense and licensing defense matters across Georgia. Adam maintains licensure as a Registered Nurse with eNLC privileges in Georgia. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, magna cum laude, from Tennessee Wesleyan College in 2006.  

Lara E. Smith

Lara brings over 25 years of legal experience to our Dahlonega, Georgia office, focusing on statewide insurance defense matters. She represents clients in automobile accidents, premises liability, and slip-and-fall cases. A double graduate of Georgia State University, Lara earned her undergraduate degree in Public and Urban Affairs in 1996 followed by her Juris Doctorate in 2000.
