Rachel M. Rugama is a partner at Conroy Simberg, practicing in the firm’s Miami and Hollywood offices. She concentrates her practice on first-party property defense, personal injury protection (PIP), windshield/auto glass litigation and general liability matters, representing insurers and businesses throughout Florida.
Rachel has been with the firm since 2002, bringing more than two decades of experience handling complex and high-exposure claims. She is AV Preeminent-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the highest level of professional excellence and ethics. Her practice includes extensive work in SIU investigations and fraud litigation, where she has successfully defended numerous cases through trial and jury verdict.
In addition to her litigation experience, Rachel has conducted hundreds of Examinations Under Oath and routinely assists clients with pre-suit investigations and strategic claims handling. She works closely with insurers to develop proactive, results-driven approaches that mitigate risk and control exposure.
Rachel is also a frequent speaker on insurance defense topics, presenting seminars and webinars on claims handling, emerging legal trends, and developments in case law.
Outside of her legal practice, Rachel is active in pro bono animal rights work and supports local rescue organizations. She is an avid equestrian and a member of the Palm Beach Hounds.
