Samuel E. Cooley is a member of the firm’s General Liability practice group defending a broad range of civil cases, including premises liability, automobile liability, intellectual property, negligent security, commercial, and professional liability cases. Samuel joined Conroy Simberg after serving as the head of the legal, human resources, and compliance departments of a privately held, multinational company. Prior to that, he was a partner at a boutique litigation firm in Los Angeles, California after having practiced for several years at a mid-sized national insurance defense firm in St. Petersburg, Florida.
A native of Kentucky, Samuel graduated valedictorian of his high school class and then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in American Studies, Magna Cum Laude, from Vanderbilt University. He received his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, where he was elected an Associate Justice of the Moot Court Board, awarded the inaugural Stephanie A. Vaughan Award for Excellence in Advocacy, and inducted into the Order of the Barristers.
