Samuel E. Cooley is a member of the firm’s General Liability practice group defending a broad range of insurance defense cases including premises liability, construction litigation, and professional liability cases. He also practices in the area of commercial litigation and intellectual property. Samuel joined Conroy Simberg after two years as the General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer heading the legal, HR, and compliance departments of a multinational technology company. Prior to being in-house counsel, he practiced at a boutique litigation firm in Los Angeles, California after having served for nearly seven years at a prestigious mid-sized national insurance defense firm. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in American Studies, Magna Cum Laude, from Vanderbilt University, Samuel moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, where he earned a Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law and served as an Associate Justice of the Moot Court Board.
