Matthew J. Troy, a partner in Conroy Simberg’s Orlando office, will be a co-presenter on a webinar presented by The Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education Committee and the Workers’ Compensation Section on July 10, 2024. Titled “The Art of the Deposition, Perspectives from Both Sides,” the webinar will cover the preparation, taking, and defending of depositions in workers' compensation cases, as well as how to prepare depositions for use at final hearing.

Miles A. McGrane, IV, a partner in our Hollywood office, has been selected as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. He has also been inducted into the Order of Veritas, one of LCA’s honorary trial orders.  

Miles A. McGrane, IV a partner in our Hollywood Office, was recently sworn in as an Executive Board Member and Secretary of the Fort Lauderdale Chapter of The American Board of Trial Advocates (“ABOTA”). ABOTA is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges that are dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the right to a civil jury trial-a right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. ABOTA membership is by invitation only and is comprised of Defense lawyers, Plaintiff’s lawyers and judges who focus on civil trial practice. Since its founding in 1958 ABOTA has worked tirelessly to uphold the jury system and to elevate the standards of professionalism, integrity and civility in the legal profession.
