Georgia partners Jeffrey Brown and Kim Minix obtained a favorable verdict in an auto injury case in Upson County, Georgia. While the defense admitted liability, the litigation centered on complex issues of causation and damages. 

The plaintiff sought an award from the jury exceeding $1 million, but the defense team successfully limited the scope of evidence presented to the jury. The defense also effectively argued for the dismissal of claims regarding attorney’s fees and litigation expenses. 

The jury returned a verdict of $183,000. After a set-off, the final net judgment was $166,333.33 – a result that closely aligned with the defense’s original valuation of the case.
