Hinda Klein, a partner in our Hollywood office and head of the firm’s appellate department, recently argued before the Florida Supreme Court in Peoples Gas System v. Posen Construction Inc.

The case is before the Supreme Court on a question from the federal Eleventh Circuit, which asked whether the state law provides for an indemnity action like that of PGS. Hinda, who represents Posen, argued that the statute does not provide for an indemnity cause of action by a utility against an excavator like Posen.

Hinda, Board Certified in Appellate Law, has been involved in more than 700 civil appeals and extraordinary writs.  She practices in all state District Courts of Appeal, the Federal Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal, and the Florida Supreme Court.  Hinda also handles dispositive motions and trial support, including the preparation of jury instructions, and pretrial and posttrial motions and charge conferences in order to ensure that the record has been properly preserved for appeal.
